Announcements

Beer aficionados are in for a real treat this month, as the Czech beer festival welcomes ale-lovers from across this globe.

This year's beer festival in the Czech capital – due to be held from May 16 to June 1 - looks set to be bigger and better than ever, with over 10,000 guests expected to descend upon the city in search of hoppy delights – many of whom will probably have taken advantage of cheap flights to Prague. The festival boasts over 70 varieties of beer and is billed as the biggest gastronomic event in the country.

Plenty of Food to Try too

Even for those who do not enjoy an occasional beer, there is a wide range of traditional, rustic Czech food on offer from a variety of stalls, as well as daily live music from local bands. The festival is free to attend and those watching the pennies will be pleased to know that beer comes in at around €1.80 a pint, making it a cheaper and entirely different alternative to the average British pub. There is no need to book tickets for the beer festival, as guests can simply turn up and get involved.

The beer festival is also home to Rock 'n' Beer Fest – a battle of the bands style event with over 54 acts competing to be crowned the best. This is a must-see for those who like their rock music loud and beer-fuelled!

Cheap flights to Prague have never been more abundant, with Jet2.com offering budget jaunts that can be booked last minute – perfect for those spur of the moment breaks.
