The Leister family from Leeds are looking shipshape to win the Pirates Village Facebook Contest this June!
Pirates Village, the exciting pirate-themed hotel based in sunny Santa Ponsa, Majorca, invited families across Europe to take part in a swashbuckling new competition. To enter, the hotel asked everyone to get dressed up in their best pirate garb, with the winning family awarded a free holiday to the Pirates Village next year.
As it’s clear from the fantastic photograph above, the Leister family certainly dressed for the occasion when they took part! Their brilliant buccaneering costumes, complete with tricorne hats and the iconic skull & crossbones, even caught the attention of the Captain for their Jet2.com flight to Majorca from Leeds Bradford. As Mum-of-three, Rachael Leister explained: “He was just brilliant, even announcing ‘Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen... and Captain Jack Sparrow’. He then told pirate jokes before letting my boys tour the cockpit.”
The family of five, including Mum Rachael, Dad Mark and children Jack, Henry and Lily, enjoyed a week-long stay at the Pirates Village with Jet2holidays. Rachael added: “The exterior of the hotel was amazing! The entertainment staff were also fantastic at keeping everyone involved. Plus, the boys loved the kids’ club as they hunted for treasure, played shark attack and made pirate hooks.”
The winner of the Pirates Village Contest will be decided by the number of ‘likes’ for each family’s photo on Facebook. The Leister Family have already notched up an impressive number of votes, but the voting is still open at the Facebook Pirates Village page.
