• 37 year old male arrested due to offensive behaviour on Gran Canaria flight  

• Glasgow man charged and fined for threatening behaviour on Alicante trip  

• Court proceedings issued to Newcastle women following New Years Day divert  

Leading leisure airline,, is continuing its crack down on disruptive passengers on its flights. Last week alone:

• A 37 year old man, travelling on its Gran Canaria flight on Sunday 6th March, was arrested by police on arrival at Glasgow Airport after allegedly being disruptive throughout the entire flight. He is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in Paisley for an alleged breach of the Air Navigation order.

• Passenger, Scott Savage, from Glasgow has been charged and fined £400 by Paisley Sheriff Court for his threatening behaviour onboard an Alicante flight on 17th April 2015.

• Court proceedings have been issued against disruptive passenger, Claire Sanderson, to recover costs incurred after was forced to divert its Tenerife to Newcastle New Year’s Day flight to Shannon Airport in the West of Ireland because of her aggressive and abusive behaviour.

Phil Ward, Managing Director of said: “Our Onboard Together initiative commits us to a zero tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour on our flights. Our customers look forward to an enjoyable flight experience with us and we will not let a disruptive few spoil this. We will take whatever action necessary to stamp it out. Passengers should be in no doubt that the consequences of abusive and unruly behaviour onboard aircraft do lead to custodial and financial penalties.”

Since launched Onboard Together more than 460 passengers have been refused travel due to disruptive behaviour and 56 of these have been given lifetime bans.

Phil added: “Disruptive passenger behaviour is an ongoing issue that needs tackling for the good of the vast majority of all customers, as well as my crew and colleagues. We are working closely with airlines, airports, trade associations and other industry partners to create a consistent and robust response to this issue. We are also actively consulting with government bodies and MPs to make them aware of the problem.”
