Jet2.com and Jet2holidays were triumphant at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards last night (Thursday 12th January), after winning four awards at the prestigious event.
Jet2holidays, the UK’s leading tour operator to many destinations across the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, scooped the award for Best Short-Haul Operator for the seventh consecutive time, at an awards ceremony held at Grosvenor House in London.
The travel industry also recognised Jet2holidays for its partnership approach to working with independent travel agents by voting the company as Best Trade Sales Team of the Year and Best Trade-Friendly Brand.
These awards celebrate Jet2holidays’ award-winning trade team and their commitment to supporting independent travel agents and homeworkers to help them grow their businesses through its Partners2Success strategy.
Leading leisure airline, Jet2.com, also added to its ever-growing awards collection and beat a number of other well-known airlines to be named the Best Short-Haul Airline by UK travel agents for the tenth time.
The Travel Weekly Globe Awards, now in their 45th year, are widely acknowledged in the travel industry and recognise the best companies and individuals in a range of sectors as voted for by travel agents. This year’s awards were based on tens of thousands of votes from frontline travel agents who recognised the suppliers who had done the most to support them over the last 12 months.
