Liverpool boxer, Rocky Fielding’s, recent holiday in Ibiza took a blow after Jet2.com refused to fly the super middleweight and his seven friends back to Manchester because of their rude and disruptive behaviour on their flight out to the White Isle. Rocky and his friends spent the entire flight chanting, swearing and verbally abusing cabin crew.
This type of behavior is not tolerated under the leading leisure airline’s Onboard Together programme. Launched last month it is designed to educate passengers about the effects of alcohol at high altitude and to outline its policies. Jet2.com has empowered its crew to take decisions quickly regarding disruptive passengers including verbal and written warnings and banning people.
Phil Ward, managing director of Jet2.com said: “We are a family airline and we want people to have a fantastic time from the moment they step on board our aircraft to start their holidays with us. Most passengers know how to behave on board, whilst having a good time too. It’s for this reason that we must stamp out this rise in the type of disruptive behaviour shown by Rocky and his friends.”
Rocky was reportedly “furious at being stranded in Ibiza.” Sorry Rocky but a super middleweight is no match for Jet2.com when it comes to protecting our crew and passengers from disruptive behaviour.
