Jet2.com has been running a Duty Manager Bootcamp over the winter months in order to assist with succession planning at the busy base.
Marc Burns, LBA Station Manager, said, “We have been looking at ways to improve our succession planning at the base to help people develop their career in the department and take the next steps at their level. Carl Symonds, Rachael Summerton, Matt Holliday and Jamie Napthine were assessed in line with the leadership framework and selected for the programme. The plan has been designed to offer the future Duty Managers the development and awareness they need to be a success in the role.”
The bootcamp has included training sessions with HR and the L&D Specialists, awareness visits to OCC, Customer Ops and the Contact Centre, management of recruitment assessment centres, operational shifts and duty manager cover.
Carl, Rachael, Matt and Jamie have done a great job so far and will soon get the opportunity to apply for the role of Duty Manager.
