New Routes, Announcements

With customers flocking to book their Summer 23 flights and city breaks, Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have responded to this strong demand by more than doubling their flying programme to Nice from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford and Manchester Airports.

The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest operator of European City Breaks have added a new route to Nice from Birmingham Airport (brand-new and exclusive route from the airport) and doubled the frequency of services from Leeds Bradford Airport for Summer 23, in addition to extra flights from Manchester Airport for the Rugby World Cup in September.

The expansion means Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks are offering up to seven weekly services to Nice for Summer 23 and giving customers and independent travel agents great choice and flexibility when it comes to reaching the glamour of the world-famous French Riviera. With the Monaco Grand Prix taking place from 25th to 28th May 2023, it also means sporting fans will have even more opportunity to reach Monaco to watch the most highly anticipated event on the F1 calendar.

The new services added today are as follows:

Birmingham

  • Brand-new and exclusive route to Nice, means up to two weekly services (Monday and Friday) from 26th May 2023 and 16th October 2023.

Leeds Bradford

  •  Introduction of a second weekly service means the airline and tour operator have doubled their frequency to Nice for Summer 23. With up to two weekly services (Monday and Friday) from 26th May 2023 and 16th October 2023, flights are perfectly timed for holidaymakers looking to enjoy a long weekend on the French Riviera.

Manchester

  • Extra Monday and Friday services to Nice added from 8th and 25th September 2023, means two daily services on these days during this period. The new flights are perfectly timed for rugby fans looking to travel to France for the Rugby World Cup.

The companies are offering a total of 56 sun and city leisure destinations from across their network of ten UK bases for Summer 23, providing customers and independent travel agents with fantastic choice and flexibility.

As well as booking and travelling on award-winning flights and ATOL protected city breaks to these destinations, customers can get to experience and enjoy the company’s VIP customer service, with Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks both recognised as Which? Recommended Providers. Recently, Jet2.com’s industry leading customer service has also seen the airline be awarded with the prestigious title of Which? Travel Brand of the Year, in recognition of the way that it has treated customers both during the pandemic as well as now that international travel has reopened. In addition, Jet2.com has also been named as the top-rated airline for customer satisfaction, according to the UKCSI published by the Institute of Customer Service.

Customers can choose from a flight-only booking with leading leisure airline, Jet2.com, or a package option with Jet2CityBreaks available for a low £60 per person deposit. Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include flights with Jet2.com, including 22kg free hold luggage and 10kg of free cabin baggage, as well as a choice of 2-5-star hotels in the best locations.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Customers have been flocking to book Summer 23 fights and city breaks, with Nice being a very popular holiday choice for next year. As always, we have been quick to respond to this demand and have more than doubled our flying programme to Nice from three UK bases. Our Summer 23 programme is already offering customers and independent travel agents lots of choice and flexibility, and we are pleased to be expanding this even further.

He added: “Nice is proving to be a much sought-after city break destination for Summer 23, thanks to its picturesque port, enchanting old town, and the glitz of Cannes and Monaco nearby. Given the Monaco Grand Prix taking place in May and the Rugby World Cup in September too, we are also anticipating the destination to be a huge hit with sports enthusiasts heading to Nice during this time. With holidaymakers flocking to book their getaways for next summer, we are expecting a very busy Summer 23. This demand combined with our award-winning customer service, means we are confident that this expanded programme to Nice will be popular with both customers and independent travel agents.”
