Year round sunshine isn’t the only attraction that keeps visitors coming back to this wonderful Canary Island. For a small island, Lanzarote is also bursting at the seams with amazing tourist attractions. Here are a few of Lanzarote’s tourist treasures to whet your appetite.

Timanfaya National Park

Timanfaya is home to a multitude of colourful dormant volcanoes. One of the island’s most popular tourist attractions, this superb volcanic park attracts more than one million people every year. Ensure that you take suitable footwear and remember that being on top of a volcano can be windy and sometimes cold.

The Green Caves

Discover one of the longest volcanic tunnels in the world, which formed about 4000 years ago.  The natural beauty of the tunnel is amazing and it is certainly one of the most interesting volcanic structures in the world.

Mirador del Rio

If you have a good head for heights then you won’t want to miss the spectacular views from the Mirador del Rio lookout point. It is almost 480 metres above sea level and looks over the Island of La Graciosa and Islet Montana Clara.
