Val d’Isere was the setting of choice for the first episode of Snow, Sex and Suspicious Parents, aired on BBC3 at 9pm on 12 November 2013.

The new series is a spin-off from BBC3’s wildly successful Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents, which has already run three seasons since January 2011.

The concept of the show is that a documentary camera crew follow the après-ski antics of a group of young revellers, all the while being secretly watched nearby by their parents!

In the first episode, viewers saw university friends Olly and Jake arriving at Grenoble Airport ready to enjoy the electric atmosphere of top French Alps ski resort Val d’Isere. From here, everything got more frenetic and fun, including fancy-dress skiing and partying with plenty of champagne to celebrate Olly’s 21st birthday!

It was certainly a surprise for both students when their mothers revealed they had been spying on them all week long!

Val d’Isere is one of the most famous ski resorts in the French Alps. It boasts a huge range of accommodation, from great value self-catering options to stunning five-star chalets. The resort is also known for its awe-inspiring snowy scenery and challenging, deep descents. And of course, that’s not forgetting the incredible après-ski nightlife!

The transfer time from Grenoble to Val d’Isere is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes, whilst the transfer time from Chambery is around 1 hour 50 minutes.
