If your musical instrument is within the permitted hand baggage dimensions of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm and weighs less than 10kg, it may be carried onto the aircraft with you free of charge as your one piece of hand luggage Larger items such as a Guitar or Cello carried in the cabin on a dedicated seat, but this extra seat must be paid for. For safety reasons, the item must weigh 65kg or less to be carried in the cabin, if an extra seat (non-emergency exit) is booked. Additionally, the item must not extend above the seat by more than 30cm, and must be securely restrained If above conditions cannot be met, or you require your instrument to be carried in the aircraft hold, this can be pre-booked for a fee.
