Electric mobility device details

Please note: If your device exceeds 100kg in weight, we require further information as to whether the device can be taken down into different parts to reduce the weight for handling purposes.

Battery information

If you are unsure of the battery type, please refer to your operator’s manual or contact the manufacturer as we are unable to carry your device without this information.

Non-Spillable (Sealed Lead Acid) Batteries - including Dry Cell, Gell Cell and Nickel-Metal Hydride

If the battery is designed to be removed, please ensure it is placed in a strong, rigid, weatherproof box. A maximum of 2 spare non-spillable batteries may also be carried providing they are individually placed in strong, rigid, weatherproof boxes. All Non-Spillable Batteries will be loaded in the hold of the aircraft.

Lithium Batteries (including e-motion wheels)

If the battery is not designed to be removed on your electric mobility device, there is no maximum watt hour rating. Should your device have removable batteries, they must be carried with you in the cabin and not exceed the below Wh rating limits:

2. For two batteries, they must not exceed 160Wh each

Spare lithium batteries may also be carried, providing they do not exceed the above stated limitations – these must also be carried with you in the cabin. Any batteries carried with you in the cabin must be stored securely and protected against short circuit.
