Jet2.com has been making its youngest customers ‘bear-y’ excited to fly with the leading leisure airline, after introducing teddy bear passports for children flying with their furry friends.

The teddy bear passports were introduced for Summer 23 and are now available to all children (and adults!) flying with their teddies from any of the airline’s ten UK bases. Jet2.com’s award-winning team of friendly Airport Customer Helpers have been handing out branded passports especially for teddies at check-in, with the new initiative proving extremely popular.

After receiving a teddy bear passport, holidaymakers can then give their teddy’s passport to Cabin Crew when boarding. As well as being a fun start to the holiday, parents have reported that it has helped their children feel a sense of independence and given them some understanding about the process of travelling overseas from a young age.

The teddy bear passports have been introduced as part of the airline’s commitment to delivering a VIP customer service, ensuring that all Jet2.com and Jet2holidays customers enjoy a fantastic experience when flying on their holidays with the leading leisure airline and tour operator.

In addition to introducing the teddy bear passports, Jet2.com has also been handing out VIP stickers and personalised birthday cards for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays customers celebrating their birthday on board. Adults have not missed out on all the fun, as Jet2.com’s UK bases have been fully equipped with selfie stands, peep boards and props at check-in, enabling customers to kick off their Summer 23 holidays with a memorable photo opportunity.

The new initiatives are designed to enhance Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ award-winning customer experience during its busiest summer programme of flying ever. Such initiatives allow for further engagement between colleagues and customers, and many of the ideas have come from Customer Helpers, based on their interactions with customers.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “This Summer is our busiest flying programme ever, however we have continued to put customer service at the heart of everything we do and deliver our famously welcoming service. As a family friendly airline, we wanted to introduce initiatives such as teddy bear passports to deliver an even greater customer experience and ensure customers have a memorable journey when travelling with us. Since introducing the teddy bear passports, the initiative has proved extremely popular, with thousands of children’s teddies having flown with us. We are always looking at ways to enhance the overall customer experience when travelling with us, and this is another example of how we are doing just that.”
