Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have celebrated their biggest cohort of apprentices ever, with 76 colleagues graduating from the companies’ apprenticeship scheme at a special ceremony in Leeds. 

The graduation ceremony was held at The Centenary Pavilion and saw successful apprentices from a range of departments including Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, Flight Operations, Ground Operations, In-Flight Retail, IT, Contact Centre, Contracting, Marketing and Customer Service mark the completion of their apprenticeships. 

The fourth annual ceremony marked the largest graduation that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have ever hosted with a record number of graduates. As the companies’ apprenticeship programme continues to grow, the exciting celebration has become a highly anticipated event each year. 

The successful cohort of apprentices graduated with impressive results, with all graduates passing their end point assessments first time, including many colleagues being awarded distinctions for their exceptional submissions. 

Each of the high-flying apprentices were presented with their apprenticeship certificate by their department Director, in recognition of their hard work and achievements. Graduates’ families, colleagues, mentors and training providers also joined in with the celebrations to recognise their success. 

Acknowledging the graduates’ dedication, the ceremony included speeches from Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, and Miriam D’souli, HR Director. In addition, graduates Ellie Wittingham and Archie Drummond also took to the stage to share their inspiring experiences of successfully completing their apprenticeships. 

Miriam D’souli, HR Director at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are as proud as ever to see 76 talented and committed apprentices graduate from our apprenticeship scheme in our biggest ever graduation ceremony. Our apprentice colleagues put in so much hard work, so it was fantastic to recognise their success and mark this important career milestone. These apprentices have developed enormously over the course of their studies, forging bright futures ahead of them. We are delighted to be expanding our apprenticeship programme into the next year as our business continues to grow, with our apprentices at the very heart of our success story.” 

With over 200 apprentices currently enrolled with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator employ apprentices in 45 different apprenticeship standards across the business, ranging from Levels 2-7. The companies will continue to grow their apprenticeship scheme into 2026, on the back of the success of its most recent cohort. 

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are also currently finalists at the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2025, including in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Employer of the Year category, with four exceptional apprentices up for individual awards in recognition of their commitment to championing apprenticeships in the region.
