Jet2 has revealed more exciting news for customers today, by announcing the launch of flights and holidays to Egypt, as well as a special offer on holidays to celebrate the arrival of the new destination. 

From February 2027, the award-winning tour operator and airline will operate year-round to two hugely popular sunshine destinations in Egypt – Hurghada and Sharm-El-Sheikh – a move that will be warmly welcomed by holidaymakers. 

To mark this exciting news, Jet2 has also unveiled details of a special launch promotion on all Jet2holidays to Egypt, offering £100 off per person on all holidays on sale to Egypt. This means that as well as being able to experience all that the destination has to offer with the award-winning tour operator, holidaymakers can also enjoy a getaway to the sunshine favourite for much less.  

Jet2 will operate to Hurghada from six UK airports (Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted and Manchester) and to Sharm-El-Sheikh from six airports too, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted and Manchester, meaning there are 18 weekly flights on sale and over 4,000 arriving seats per week. Four of these routes are exclusive to Jet2 - Leeds Bradford to Hurghada, London Stansted to Hurghada, Edinburgh to Sharm-El-Sheikh and Leeds Bradford to Sharm-El-Sheikh. (Full programme details can be found in notes to editors). 

Today’s launch comes in response to years of demand from customers looking to book award-winning holidays to Egypt, where holidaymakers can enjoy year-round sunshine and beautiful beaches.  

Located on Africa’s north-eastern corner, beyond Egypt’s fascinating ancient history and luxury resorts, holidaymakers will find golden beaches along the Red Sea, ideal for snorkelling or simply soaking up those rays. Holidaymakers can unwind on golden shores, explore the dramatic Sinai Desert or hike up Mount Sinai for breathtaking views.
