Jet2 has published its latest ESG in Action Report, setting out its performance, progress and priorities across areas including climate action, resource efficiency, responsible sourcing, colleague wellbeing and governance.
The report demonstrates how Jet2 continues to embed sustainability into everything it does, as the company works towards reducing its carbon intensity and achieving Net Zero by 2050.
Over the past year, Jet2 has made meaningful progress across a number of key areas, including:
- Introducing next-generation Airbus A321neo aircraft into its fleet
- Completing a two-year retrofit installation of split-scimitar winglets onto 74 Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, saving over 28,000 tonnes of carbon per year
- Enhancing fuel efficiency through improved procedures and data analytics
- Investing in renewable electricity
- Expanding colleague engagement and sustainability training
- Strengthening governance and transparency, including further external verification of carbon data and alignment with leading frameworks.
