6-year-old Doncaster boy surprised by Jet2 after “Nothing beats an Egg2holiday” Easter creation goes viral

A six-year-old boy from Doncaster whose cracking “Nothing Beats an Egg2holiday” Easter creation went viral on social media had his Easter made even more “egg-cellent”, after Jet2 surprised him at his home and gifted him a box of branded merchandise. 

For his school’s Easter egg decorating contest, Teddi White, alongside his mum, Amy, crafted an “Egg2” aircraft out of recycled drink bottles with “Egg2” cabin crew and egg customers waiting to board with their suitcases. The piece was finished off with a runway, blue-sky background and featured Jet2’s iconic “Nothing Beats” slogan.  

After his mum, posted the creation on her Facebook page, the post became a viral sensation, reaching over a million views, thousands of likes and hundreds of comments. The post caught the attention of the UK’s favourite airline and tour operator, prompting Jet2 to reach out to Amy and congratulate Teddi on his cracking Easter creation and arrange something special.  

With Amy’s permission, the company showed why ‘nothing beats Jet2’, by knocking on the door of Teddi’s family home and surprising him with an exclusive gift box filled with Jet2 goodies, ensuring the talented youngster’s Easter was one he will never forget. The gift box included aircraft models of the Boeing 737 and Airbus A321, “Nothings Beats” branded sunglasses, a bucket hat, goodies, and a Jet2 key ring crafted from the actual aircraft skin from a retired 757 aircraft. 

Commenting on the visit from Jet2, Amy, said: “We are absolutely over the moon that Jet2 surprised Teddi with the box of goodies! He couldn’t believe it, and I know he will be telling all his friends about it when he returns to school after the Easter holidays. Although Teddi didn’t win his school’s competition, he already felt like a winner because of the amazing response we had online and now this surprise from Jet2 has definitely made him feel like a winner. Teddi is a huge Jet2 fan so our first thought for our creation was to base it on the airline and tour operator. We couldn’t believe how popular my post proved on social media, and then to have Jet2 pick up on it and do this, was just amazing. For our family “Nothing Beats a Jet2holiday!”
