Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have today announced the launch of winter services to Athens for the first time, with flights and city breaks on sale to the historic Greek city from Manchester and Birmingham Airports.
The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator to many leisure destinations across the Mediterranean, including Greece, will operate flights and city breaks to Athens in November 2022 and February and March 2023.
Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will offer up to two weekly services (Thursday and Sunday) from each base during this time, giving holidaymakers access to Greece’s capital during winter for the first time. With up to four weekly flights departing from the UK to Athens throughout the winter months, including weekend and mid-week services, holidaymakers can enjoy either a long weekend or longer break to the famous ancient city.
Today’s announcement follows the launch of flights and city breaks to Athens for Summer 22.
The full breakdown of the Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks’ Winter 22/23 programme to Athens is as follows:

Athens is the beating heart of Greece and offers holidaymakers the chance to go history hunting, be stunned by world-renowned sights such as the Acropolis, or enjoy the fantastic nightlife. Jet2CityBreaks has a range of 3-5* hotels available in Athens City, in neighbourhoods such as Koukaki, Monastiraki and Plaka. These locations provide easy access to the best sites, whether that be the flea market in Monastiraki, the nightlife in Psiri, the ‘Old Town’ of Plaka, the world-famous Acropolis or Syntagma Square.
When travelling to Athens, customers can choose from a flight-only with leading leisure airline, Jet2.com, or a package option with Jet2CityBreaks available for a low £60 per person deposit. Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include flights with Jet2.com including 22kg free hold luggage and 10kg of free cabin baggage, transfers to and from the airport, as well as a choice of hotels in the best locations.
Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will operate scheduled services to 12 city break destinations for Winter 22/23, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, Paris, Rome, Krakow, Prague and Venice. On top of that, a mini Christmas Markets series will operate with Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks to six magical Christmas favourites (Berlin, Budapest, Cologne, Prague, Copenhagen and Vienna) meaning this winter is truly jam-packed with choice. This gives customers fantastic choice throughout winter when it comes to getting some culture, food, history, retail and sightseeing in a range of popular city hotspots.
