With holidaymakers booking getaways for late Summer 23 in their numbers, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have responded to the strong and sustained demand by adding more flights and holidays to popular destinations, in particular the Canary Islands and Turkey.

As the leading leisure airline and UK’s leading tour operator to the Canary Islands and Turkey, the companies are offering a huge and unrivalled programme to these destinations for Summer 23 and have now expanded this even further, in particular during the October half-term period. Over 50 weekly flights have been added for the half-term holidays next year to Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Tenerife in the Canary Islands, and Izmir, Bodrum, Antalya and Dalaman in Turkey.

The extra capacity has been put on sale from nine of Jet2.com and Jet2holiday’s UK bases - Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle International and London Stansted Airports, and are perfectly timed for the October half-term.

Strong demand for flights and ATOL protected package holidays means Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have expanded their Summer 23 programmes to sunshine favourites in Mainland Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Balearic Islands, Italy, Cyprus and Croatia too.

The additional flights represent over 45,000 extra seats going on sale, giving holidaymakers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility, as well as fantastic value, when it comes to booking or travelling on a Summer 23 holiday, particularly during the October half-term.

As well as offering customers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility, it also gives them the opportunity to book head and get the price of their next October half-term holiday locked in now.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “We are seeing strong demand throughout Summer 23, with the October half-term period proving to be an extremely popular time for families to enjoy a holiday. In response to that, we have added additional capacity across popular destinations in the Canary Islands and Turkey, as well as to other sunshine favourites in the Mediterranean. As families are increasingly looking for great value holidays, booking a half-term holiday for next year now allows them to get the price locked in. While the size and scale of our Summer 23 programme means we are already offering unrivalled choice, we are expanding this even further and giving customers and independent travel agents even more flexibility to book or enjoy a holiday.”

He added: “With customers flocking to get Summer 23 holiday booked in their diaries, we are anticipating a hugely successful summer season and are confident that these additional flights will be a massive hit.”
