Jet2.com awarded Best Short-Haul Airline accolade at Telegraph Travel Awards

Jet2.com has been named Best Short-Haul Airline for the second time at The Telegraph Travel Awards.

The leading leisure airline was once again recognised by readers of The Telegraph for its customer service and satisfaction, seeing it scoop the prestigious award.

Based on the opinions of tens of thousands of holidaymakers, readers were asked to give their verdict on their experiences of travelling with different short-haul airlines and recognise those who they feel have made the biggest impact in their travelling lives.

The short-haul category was based on how airlines ‘impress their passengers’ and deliver great service, with readers calling out Jet2.com for providing prompt refunds during the pandemic and providing industry leading customer service both on the ground and in the air.

This latest recognition follows on from a number of other notable accolades that Jet2.com has received for delivering an industry leading customer service. This includes Which? Recommended Provider status for Airlines, Which? Travel Brand of the Year 2023 and Feefo Trusted Service Award, as well as this week being highly rated in the July 2023 UK Customer Satisfaction Survey (UKCSI) survey, coming in joint 22nd in the top 50 companies in the UK for delivering outstanding customer service.

In addition, Jet2.com has continually operated its entire programme without making cancellations this year, meaning customers can book and travel on their well-deserved holidays knowing they will get away as planned. This follows on from Jet2.com being repeatedly recognised last year for not making any cancellations due to its own staff shortages.

The airline, along with Jet2holidays, took action to proactively recruit well ahead of the bounce back last year, and as such had a very visible uniformed presence in place (referred to as the Red Team) in UK airports as well as in main overseas airports and in resorts. This Red Team are on hand this summer, providing customers with an award-winning friendly service and giving customers extra assurance that they are in the best hands when they travel.

Jet2.com’s VIP customer service includes friendly low fares, great flight times and a generous 22kg baggage allowance, as well as 10kg hand luggage.

For Summer 23, the leading leisure airline is operating a fleet of 119 aircraft flying to 57 sunshine destinations from ten of its UK bases. This fleet size offers customers unrivalled choice when booking and travelling on award-winning flights to these destinations.
