Jet2.com celebrates two decades of award-winning flights from Manchester Airport

Jet2.com is celebrating 20 years of operating award-winning flights from Manchester Airport.
Since its first flight took off to Budapest two decades ago, over 36 million happy holidaymakers have travelled with the award-winning airline from Manchester Airport, and now Jet2.com has marked the occasion with a special celebration.
Customers flying with the airline on its special anniversary received a VIP customer experience at check-in, which included a red-carpet welcome, balloon arch and discount vouchers to use towards their next getaway with Jet2.com or Jet2holidays.
In 2004, when Jet2.com first started operating from Manchester Airport it flew to just three destinations. Over the last 20 years, the airline has experienced continued success and grown substantially to become the UK’s third largest airline and now offers 70 sun, city and ski destinations across Europe, the Canary Islands and Mediterranean from the airport.
Jet2.com continues to expand at Manchester Airport and has introduced a series of new destinations for Winter 24/25, Summer 25, Winter 25/26 and Summer 26. Just last week, the company celebrated its first flight from Manchester Airport to Gdansk – a brand-new Christmas Market destination for Winter 24/25.
For Summer 25, the airline has introduced three new destinations Jerez, Pula and Salerno from the airport, and for Winter 25/26, Jet2.com will start Christmas Market flights to Tallinn. Looking further ahead, Jet2.com will operate to Palermo throughout Summer 26 from Manchester Airport.
Over the past 20 years, Jet2.com’s VIP customer service, friendly low fares, generous 22kg baggage allowance (available for additional fee) plus 10kg hand baggage and great flight times have proven popular amongst customers travelling from the North West, enabling the company to significantly expand its presence at Manchester Airport.
