Announcements

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are extending their Summer 26 season to Kefalonia by adding flights and holidays to the stunning island right through to the end of October.

In response to strong demand from customers and independent travel agents, the UK’s largest tour operator has added extra services for holidaymakers looking to book a sunny escape to this charming Greek island.

Today’s announcement means brand-new weekly Saturday services will operate from Manchester Airport to Kefalonia, from early October through to 31st October 2026. This extension covers the October half-term, providing families looking for some late-summer sunshine with the perfect opportunity to escape to the Greek island’s stunning beaches.

With flights now operating to the hotspot until the end of October, the leading airline and tour operator is offering unrivalled flexibility and choice. Holidaymakers can look forward to enjoying a laid-back break on the largest of the Ionian Islands, whether it is relaxing on a blissful beach or wandering through vibrant vineyards at sunset.

Next Summer will see Jet2.com and Jet2holidays operate up to six weekly services to Kefalonia from Manchester Airport, with flights running from 2nd May to 31st October 2026. This not only gives customers fantastic choice when booking their sun-drenched getaway, but also significantly extends the summer season beyond the previously planned end date of 10th October 2026.

In addition to Manchester Airport, the leading leisure airline will also be operating to Kefalonia from eight other bases, including:

  • Birmingham Airport
  • Bristol Airport
  • Edinburgh Airport
  • East Midlands Airport
  • Glasgow Airport
  • Leeds Bradford Airport
  • Newcastle International Airport
  • London Stansted Airport

This means that the picture-book island paradise will be available to fly to from nine of Jet2’s UK airport bases during Summer 2026.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Kefalonia is an extremely popular holiday destination, and we are seeing continued demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to book both peak and late summer dates. Due to this response, we are delighted to be extending our Summer 26 season to the end of October, providing customers with the flexible holiday choices that they want. We are excited to provide holidaymakers with even more award-winning flights and ATOL protected package holidays in Summer 26 and, given the appeal of the beautiful destination of Kefalonia, we are confident that this extended season will be warmly welcomed.”
