At its peak

Thanks to the innovative technology behind the Nordkettenbahnen, you can zip up and down the mountain in just 20 minutes. From the cable car, you can spy Innsbruck’s famous Golden Roof as you go. When you reach the top, expect breathtaking views, so don’t forget your camera! This is Austria at its finest.

Rugged scenery

Snow-sprinkled summits create a magical skyline to gaze upon. Not only is the area super for skiing, you can even hike up the hills if you’re that way inclined. Extensive meadows are all dressed in white in winter – ooh, it really is a dreamy postcard setting.

Alpine attractions

There’s a good mix of old and new among Nordkette’s attractions. Go back in time at the Cable Railway Museum, where there’s a replica of the original-style car that ascended the mountains. Meanwhile, the Alpine Zoo is home to more than 2,000 animals and Alpine Park Karwendel is Tyrol’s largest protected area.
